MCP server for AI agents

With the public NEVINI MCP server (Model Context Protocol), an AI agent can search our range and prepare a cart for its user. The customer completes the order themselves.

Add this URL as a remote MCP server. Use it exactly as shown, with the trailing slash.

What an agent can do

  • Search and filter wines by type, country, region, grape, price, stock and matching dish.
  • Get the details of a wine: taste notes, description, bottle sizes and current prices from Shopify.
  • Read store information: address, contact, shipping, pickup and returns.
  • Build a Shopify cart and return a checkout link on shop.nevini.wine.

Connect

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP can connect. Examples:

Claude Code

claude.ai and Claude Desktop

Go to Customize > Connectors, select "+ Add", then "Add custom connector". Enter a name and the URL above and select Continue. Claude detects that no sign-in is needed ("No sign-in"); select Add, then Connect. In Team and Enterprise organisations, an owner adds the connector under Organization settings > Connectors.

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins (chatgpt.com/plugins), select the plus button, then "Add custom MCP server". Enter a name and put the URL above under Connection as the Server URL. Choose "No authentication", confirm with "I understand and want to continue" and select "Create as a plugin". Install the plugin and type @ in a chat to use it. Whether you can add custom MCP servers depends on your account and workspace settings.

Search and filter wines.

Ordering and age

  1. The agent searches wines and agrees the choice with the user.
  2. For create_cart, the user confirms being 18 or older.
  3. The agent hands the checkout link on shop.nevini.wine to the user.
  4. The customer opens the checkout and completes the order and the payment there.

No order is placed and no payment is taken through the MCP server.

NEVINI sells alcohol. The buyer and the recipient must be 18 or older (Dutch Alcohol Act); orders for anyone under 18 are not allowed. The order is only placed once the customer opens the checkout and completes the order. The recipient's age may be checked on delivery; have a valid ID ready.
