Description
Finca Marimú reveals another side of CARE, focusing on Carignan rather than Garnacha. Known locally as Cariñena, this grape gives the single-vineyard cuvée its distinct personality. The estate describes the fruit as coming from old vines, with French oak maturation adding structure to the dark-fruit core. Blackberry, plum and blackcurrant are accompanied by coffee and spice. The overall impression is powerful and concentrated, balanced by freshness that keeps the wine from feeling cumbersome. From Cariñena in Aragón, it offers a contemporary interpretation of a traditional local variety, with plenty of depth and a clear sense of purpose.
