Description
The red XCLNT 2022 is a limited-production blend bringing together CARE's old-vine Garnacha and Cariñena. The estate's technical sheet specifies sixty percent Garnacha and forty percent Cariñena. A substantial maturation programme begins in new French oak barrels before continuing in a larger foudre. The resulting wine combines concentration with red and dark fruit, cinnamon and toasted almond nuances. It has a powerful palate, ripe tannins and a layered, persistent finish. The vineyards lie in the elevated Cariñena landscape, where poor soils and dry conditions help shape the wine's character. This is the red cuvée, distinct from CARE's white XCLNT.
