La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 890 2011 is the estate's most exclusive classic cuvée and is produced only in exceptional years. Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo mature for six years in American oak and then spend several more years in bottle before release.
Candied plum, cherry and raisin are framed by cedar, tobacco, leather, vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate and balsamic nuances. The palate is broad and intense, with silky tannins, lively freshness and an exceptionally long, spicy finish.
