Description

Zenato Ripassa Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2021 is a rich, velvety red wine from Veneto. The blend consists of 85% Corvina Veronese, 10% Corvinone and 5% Rondinella, combining Valpolicella's juicy character with extra depth and structure.

The nose offers amarena cherry, plum and ripe red fruit, followed by sweet spices and dark chocolate. The palate is warm and supple, with soft tannins, fresh tension and a long, spicy finish.

After its first fermentation, the wine undergoes a second fermentation for seven to eight days on Amarone grape skins. It then matures for approximately eighteen to twenty months in French oak barrels. Serve at 16-18°C with braised beef, game, grilled meat or aged cheeses.
