Description

Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2020 is a rich Amarone from Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. It is made from carefully selected grapes that dry for three to four months after harvest according to the traditional appassimento method.

The blend consists of Corvina Veronese, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina. On the nose, marasca cherry, dried plum, fig, sweet tobacco, fine spices, balsamic, leather and cocoa come forward. On the palate it is warm, full and velvety, with present tannins, good freshness and a powerful yet balanced structure.

After slow fermentation, the wine ages for years in large oak barrels, followed by further bottle aging. Ideal with braised meat, roasts, game, hearty traditional dishes and aged cheeses. Serve at 18°C.
