Combined online rating
Method and source check
We check multiple rating platforms for every wine where accessible: Vivino, Wine-Searcher, Wine Spectator, Decanter, James Suckling, Robert Parker Wine Advocate. Only verified scores matching the offered vintage or NV are shown and included.
Ratings are shown from 3.7/5 only when at least one contributing source confirms 10 reviews for this exact vintage or NV. Counts from different platforms are not added together.
3 exact platform scores are weighted equally. Native 99- and 100-point scales are normalized from 50→1 to their own maximum→5 (99→5 or 100→5); display and filtering use one decimal. Aggregator and critic-platform scores can partly overlap.

Description
Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Sergio Zenato 2018 is the house's signature wine: an Amarone Riserva from the oldest vineyards of Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, made only from the best selections. The wine carries the name of founder Sergio Zenato and is built for long aging.
The grapes are hand-selected, dried for about four months and then slowly fermented. The wine ages for around five years in large Slavonian oak barrels and then at least one year in bottle. The nose is broad and mature, with marasca cherry, dried plum, fig, tobacco, leather, sweet spices, licorice and subtle balsamic nuances.
On the palate it is full, deep and balanced, with soft tannins, integrated alcohol warmth, surprising freshness and a long harmonious finish. Ideal with roasted game, grilled red meat, powerful cheeses or as a contemplative wine. Serve at 18°C.
