Description
Kreyss Alto Adige DOC Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) is an elegant white wine from the cool hills of South Tyrol. Weissburgunder is the most important white grape of Alto Adige, cultivated in the region since the early 20th century.
The wine has a clear straw yellow color. On the nose, fresh aromas of green apples, pears, citrus, blossom and a stony mineral character. On the palate, saline minerality with a long finish, crisp acidity and a creamy texture from aging on fine lees.
The vineyards are located on cool slopes at 450-650 meters altitude with southeast-facing slopes. The region experiences significant temperature differences between day and night, which ensures preservation of aromatic complexity. The soils are gravel-rich and limestone-rich (dolomite). Ideal with shellfish, rich fish such as salmon and tuna, soft cheeses and charcuterie.
