Domaine de la Janasse’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2023 combines Grenache with Syrah and Mourvèdre. Its direction is classically southern Rhône, bringing dark fruit and spice together with a substantial but polished structure. The family estate works from Courthézon across varied sites, giving the blend interest beyond a simple list of varieties. This is a red for a table where both the food and the wine receive a little attention. A fitting pairing is leg of lamb with rosemary.
