French Wine: Terroir, Tradition and Elegance
France is the wine country par excellence - the birthplace of world-famous grape varieties, appellations and wine styles that have set the standard for centuries. From the chalk hills of Champagne to the sun-drenched vineyards of the southern Rhône, each terroir tells its own story. NEVINI brings you a carefully curated selection of 27 French wines from top producers.
Champagne - The Art of Sparkling
Champagne is more than a wine - it is a symbol of craftsmanship and celebration. The oldest champagne house, Gosset, founded in 1584, is known for its rich, vinous style in which malolactic fermentation is generally avoided. Extra Brut is an exception and does undergo this fermentation. From the Grande Réserve to the prestigious Celebris, Gosset produces champagnes of exceptional depth and complexity that stand the test of time.
Bordeaux - Grandeur and Class
Bordeaux needs no introduction. As the world's most iconic wine region, it produces wines that last for generations. Château Giscours, a Troisième Grand Cru Classé from Margaux, combines power with finesse and delivers wines of great elegance. Château La Haye from Saint-Estèphe offers the classic structure and aging potential the Left Bank is famous for.
Burgundy - Purity of Terroir
In Burgundy everything revolves around terroir - the unique combination of soil, climate and microclimate that gives each wine its own identity. Domaine Nicolas represents the essence of the Burgundian wine tradition, with wines that showcase the subtlety and complexity of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at their best.
Rhône - Power and Character
The Rhône Valley produces some of France's most expressive wines. E. Guigal, one of the most respected names in the northern Rhône, produces legendary Syrah wines with remarkable depth and complexity. In the southern Rhône, Domaine de la Janasse excels with rich, refined Châteauneuf-du-Pape and other appellations that combine the best of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.
