Description
Dante Rivetti La Valletta Piemonte Chardonnay 2022 is a full-bodied, oak-aged white wine made from 100% Chardonnay from Costigliole d'Asti in Piedmont. The grapes grow on sandy, limestone-rich soils and are carefully selected after a manual harvest around mid-September.
Golden yellow in colour, the wine combines ripe pear and banana with white spices and a soft, generous texture. Fresh acidity balances the rich, silky palate and leads into a long, persistent finish.
Fermentation takes place at a low, controlled temperature in small 225-litre barrels. The wine then matures for at least eighteen months, followed by six months of bottle ageing. A gastronomic Chardonnay for starters, risotto, braised white meat, dishes with oriental spices and soft cheeses. Serve at 8-9°C.
