Description

Aalto PS (Pagos Seleccionados) is the flagship of the Aalto winery, made from 100% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) from the very best selected parcels in Ribera del Duero. This wine is only produced in exceptional years.

On the nose, an intense and complex bouquet of ripe blackberries, cherries, plums, dark chocolate, cedar wood, graphite and subtle blossom tones. On the palate it is full, deep and layered, with a perfect structure, powerful but velvet tannins and an enormous concentration. Flavors of dark fruit, espresso, tobacco, minerals and sweet spices.

The wine ages 22 months in new French oak barriques, followed by bottle aging. The finish is exceptionally long and intense. This is one of the great wines of Ribera del Duero. Ideal with leg of lamb, rib-eye, game and aged cheeses.
