Description
Merum Priorati Desti is a powerful and concentrated red wine from Priorat, a blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense cherry red color with aromas of red fruit such as raspberry, blueberries and cassis, enriched with subtle spicy notes from the wood aging and hints of licorice. In the mouth warm, firm and robust, with a rich structure and elegant, persistent finish. Aging 12-14 months in French oak barriques, bottled without clarification or filtering. The 2018 vintage ranked No. 4 in Wine Spectator's Top 100 of 2021 (95 points). Ideal with stews, grilled meat and game dishes.
