Priorat, located in the rugged hinterland of Catalonia, is one of the most extraordinary wine regions of Spain. It is one of only two regions in the country with the highest quality classification DOCa (Denominación de Origen Calificada), alongside Rioja. The steep terraces with licorella slate - a unique type of weathered slate - give the wines their characteristic minerality and depth.
Merum Priorati - The Essence of Priorat
Merum Priorati captures the pure essence of the Priorat terroir in the bottle with Inici and Desti. The name "Merum" means "pure" in Latin, and that is exactly what these wines radiate: an unadulterated expression of the licorella soil and the old Garnacha and Cariñena vines.
