Harlequin 2017
Combined online rating
Method and source check
We check multiple rating platforms for every wine where accessible: Vivino, Wine-Searcher, Wine Spectator, Decanter, James Suckling, Robert Parker Wine Advocate. Only verified scores matching the offered vintage or NV are shown and included.
2 exact platform scores are weighted equally, regardless of their attached rating counts. Native 99- and 100-point scales are normalized from 50→1 to their own maximum→5 (99→5 or 100→5); display and filtering use one decimal. Aggregator and critic-platform scores can partly overlap.

Description
Zýmē Harlequin is the masterpiece of the Zýmē house, made from at least 15 grape varieties - both red and white grapes - that together create extraordinary complexity. The name refers to the colorful Italian Harlequin figure, symbolizing the diversity of the grapes.
The wine has a brilliant ruby red color that tends toward garnet with aging, with good intensity. On the nose there is an enveloping sense of richness and complexity; spices and higher alcohols alternate with notes of jam and forest floor, followed by tobacco, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, combined with minerality that lifts the depth of this intricate wine.
